Description
BOSS HOG S/T LP from 1995 on the DGC label (DGC-24811).
this is the first U.S. pressing which came with a Boss Hog slipmat for your turntable...
unfortunately the slipmat was packed next to the record itself, causing one side to discolour / fog.
if you're not familiar with this release it's probably best to read some of the comments on the Discogs release page.
it sounds like most copies will be affected, unless the two items were separated on purchase.
i've tried to show the difference in the two sides in my pictures - the first picture (purple label) is the fogged side.
it is noticeably duller than Side A.
record has been cleaned on an Okki Nokki and play tested in full.
it has a slight wobble on the turntable - not a warp, it's just not not 100% true.
it's really quite slight and it's only noticeable when Side B is playing.
Side A has one faint surface mark but it's clean otherwise.
there's some low surface noise between tracks plus one low click during I Dig You.
it's fine otherwise.
this side plays close to VG Plus audio-wise.
Side B has some surface noise between tracks plus some surface noise during the quieter parts.
this side is a little bit more 'surfacey' sounding plus there's the occasional low pop.
it's still a decent enough listen.
i would say that it's VG audio-wise.
the sleeve is still in the shrink-wrap so it's still in pretty good shape.
the top left corner is slightly squashed and there's some light wear at the opening.
the thin inner sleeve has a one inch rub mark on one side plus some light creasing.
the slipmat is clean. i don't think that it's been used at any stage.
