Boston's debut album is a perfect masterpiece, it was one of the most influential albums ever released, one of the great debuts of all time, and it's astounding how far ahead of it's time Boston was in 1976. It was absolutely cutting edge, light years ahead of everything. Tom Scholtz Guitar parts are some of the most unique in history, and Brad Delp has one of the most powerful and beautiful voices in Rock history. There isn't anything approaching a bad song, and most are sheer genius. I must have listened to Peace Of Mind five thousand times in 1988, I used to be really fixated on this album, for a new listener it's simply stunning. More Than A Feeling, Foreplay/Long Time, Rock & Roll Band, and Smokin are just rafter-rattling masterstrokes. This is an album every Rock fan must own.
