These are all 1st RCA pressings bought in the UK at the time of first release in the 1970s.  Some of these, including Ziggy Stardust (1E/1E) and Diamond Dogs (no 'Bewitched') are hard to find as genuine first UK pressings.

I've summarized below the main points, so please ensure you read the description and look at the photos for further information.

SPACE ODDITY: 1E/1E matrix (first RCA pressing). Titanic Publishing credits (Not Mainman). Vinyl grading: around VG+ to Ex- on side one and around Ex on side two. Blemish on side two label. Cover: general signs of wear and age mainly to the edges and corners. Repair to top seam and spine, but it is a presentable example. Inner sleeve: typical signs of age and use - looks good but has seam splits.

THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD: 1E/1E matrix (first RCA pressing). Titanic Publishing credits (Not Mainman). Vinyl grading: around VG on both sides, has surface marks and hairlines etc, but nothing bad or feelable. Cover: general signs of wear and age including creases, edge-wear, ring-wear etc, and a small centre split and corner split on the bottom edge. Inner sleeve: normal signs of age and use with a small split at the center of the bottom seam.

ZIGGY STARDUST: Rare, true first press with 1E/1E matrix (NOT 2E on side two, which is a repress). Titanic Publishing credits (Not Mainman). Vinyl grading: around VG on side one and a bit under that for side two. Surface marks and hairlines etc, but nothing bad. Cover: lots of signs of wear, especially to the edges and corners. Has a spine split. Inner sleeve: looks pretty good with some creases and signs of use. Has some repairs and a split to one side seam and a tiny one to to the bottom seam.

ALADDIN SANE: 3T/3T matrix. gatefold sleeve with lyric inner sleeve. Vinyl grading: Looks around Ex in normal light but has some surface marks and hairlines etc under bright direct light, so VG+. Cover: signs of wear and age, mainly some grubbiness and marks. Also a corner split on the bottom seam. Inner sleeve: decent example with some normal signs of handling and use, but nothing major.

DIAMOND DOGS: A1/B1 Matrix (like most copies), BUT no 'Bewitched' credit on the side one label. True 1st UK press and extremely hard to find.  Vinyl grading: around Ex on both sides. Some surface marks and hairlines under bright, direct light, but nothing bad. Cover: signs of wear and age, especially to the spine, but no splits. Some creasing mainly to the rear, a slight sticker mark on the front, but generally a presentable example

I have tried my best to summarize the main points, but there might be some other small detracting issues that I've overlooked. I've shown all the spines in the last photo, some are okay, others aren't. All photographs are of the actual items for sale. Please look at the photos and ask any questions before you bid. Everything included is shown in the photos, so please don't ask if something else is included. If it isn't shown, it's not included.

Where gradings are given these are based on the UK Record Collector grading system (see below) and are visual gradings only.

I use the UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM. This grading system differs from some other grading systems, in particular the Goldmine grading system. Please make sure that you are familiar with the UK record collector grading system before you bid.

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag­ing might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur­face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop­erly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

Plus (+) or Minus (-) are added where items fall between gradings. I only ever use one plus or minus.
