Description
Up for auction is an extremely unusual Brenda Holloway EP from Mexico. This four track 7" EP comes in a picture cover (which hasn't photographed well) but which is is excellent original condition. Issued on the Tamla Motown label, catalogue number TMEP 105, it features the following songs: When I'm Gone, Every Little Bit Hurts, A Favor For A Girl and I've Been Good To You. Brenda Holloway is one of the most underrated and neglected Motown artists; very little was issued in the USA and UK during the 60's and so it is surprising to see that her product received a Mexican issue! This is a genuinely rare item from one of the most collectible Motown artists.
Condition: Sleeve is in overall excellent condition. No tears - just a small crease in top right corner where the record has left an impression. Back cover features illustrations for four more Mexican issue Tamla Motown EPs by The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Martha & The Vandellas and The Miracles. Record condition is similarly excellent - just a few very light scuffs. The label - which is purple and features the classic Tamla Motown logo has a mark where a label was once affixed and, against two of the tracks, the previous owner has discreetly written 'hit'. However, neither detract from what is a very good clean condition EP.
