Description

This 45rpm trumps all the rainbow Decca reissue labels with claims to be the "original release". The 45rpm is the focus here. The picture sleeve is relatively common but there is a debate as to which label belongs to this sleeve. The later re-issue picture sleeve shows Ms. Lee more mature, utilizing the same Decca number...which goes to reason the later rainbow label would compliment that newer sleeve. At any rate, the picture sleeve and the black label first release have always been together as found years ago! This is not a Canadian issue 45rpm...it clearly states "yadda, yadda, New York, U.S.A." along the top edge. The vinyl shows little play with no flaws to the label. The picture sleeve shows some ring wear with a slight surface tear at the top of the sleeve (as seen in 2nd photo). Otherwise, it's a clean strong respectable picture sleeve. The black label releases of "Rockin' Around..." are extremely illusive!
