Bridget St John's lovely debut album on John Peel's Dandelion label. Mostly just the singer and her acoustic picking and strumming, though she is joined by John Martyn on second guitar for three tracks, and Ric Sanders on another two. This gorgeous LP has a non-laminated light sleeve which is often seen in quite a grubby state and this is no exception - the centre-opening version always took some knocks. However due the late-60s vintage the vinyl still looks superb, and is still sounding fine, if you don't mind a bit of low-level crackle.
Condition: Vinyl / Sleeve / Innersleeve:
Good overall condition for vintage of LP.
Vinyl visually Very Good: flat, retains all original sheen. Playback, Very Good played back both sides - low level noise on intros and inbetween, and there's a low-level of crackle'n'pop, but stlll very sharp, little decline in the dynamics. You will be really pleased with the audio here; there is no major deteriorationfor an acoustic folk album of this age. It's a lovely warm soundly LP and the surface noise is consistently very far in the background. I'm pretty certain a decent pro-clean would only add to an already outstanding experience.
Labels - Nr Mint - virtually no marks around spindle holes.
Sleeve - Non-laminated centre-opening matt sleeve is Fair - generally grubby inside and out - creases on edges, corner bumps; stained, general grubby with foxing, small tears especially along spine - study photos carefully please.
Innersleeve - generic polylined.
A very good playing copy for someone who'd rather have an original than a current reissue.
