My listening equipment is a highly revealing Yamaha PF-800 turntable (equal to a 1990s LP12 – I am not familiar with the modern ones that cost more than a small car), pre/power amps and B&W Matrix Reference speakers. Before listing I always clean LPs on a vacuum record cleaning machine and I always determine audio quality by playing the LP not just by visual inspection. For this LP I have used an Ortofon OM10 MM cartridge.
This record has a very obvious scuff mark on side two across the first two tracks and part of the third track (see final photo). So let’s deal with that first: well it looks worse than it sounds, but it does produce a couple of passages of soft ticks and a few medium clicks. These are by no means constant as you might fear from looking at the scuff, so you can still enjoy these tracks (and I am NOT one of those deluded people who proudly proclaim that pops and clicks are all part of the vinyl experience and celebrate such things). Also, it is not a danger to your stylus. The final track on side two has a couple of clicks near the beginning. Side one plays great although track 3 has a touch of sibilance/distortion to peak vocals. The gatefold cover is in very good condition.
The inner sleeve is a standard plain white poly-lined sleeve.
The record will be well packaged for safe transit - I used to sell a lot of records on ebay so I have a good packaging procedure.
