Brocas Helm
Into Battle
1984 San Francisco Heavy Metal Band
First Strike Records 801 ~ Test Pressing
Manufactured by H.V. Wadell in Burbank California. This White Label Test Pressing with someone's writing on it (yes, it's my name and number) was supplied to me for approval prior to authorizing the first pressing of the LP. This was the only test pressing we had made because they were very expensive, and we approved it without changes so there was no need for another. We had a listening session with some of the band members and my label partner. Everyone agreed the mastering, banding and sound quality was acceptable so we authorized the first pressing of the LP in 1984. The number etched into the dead wax on side two is wrong, just like all the first pressings of the stock LP. It reads " FRS-801" and should be "FSR-801" for First Strike Records. I owned Record Exchange in Walnut Creek, California and this was our label. Any questions, ask them early. I suspect there are Brocas Helm collectors from all over the world, especially Greece, that will hit this up with last second offers because there is only one of these.
There can only be one first record made. This is it.
The very first copy of the very first LP they ever made
I lost touch with Bobby Wright, the guitarist and band leader but I followed their career. They self-released another LP and I think an EP. They also went to Greece to do a concert tour. Years later Bobby found me and asked permission to take over the pressing responsibilities of 'Into Battle'. I told him it was all his. So it is.................. This LP later came out in Germany and I saw some from Greece. Enjoy this stuff, they were already doin' it when Metallica just got started. Brocas Helm remains one of the most important Metal bands to emerge during the 1980s and I've been told they're still together!

Look at the photos and check the audio clips. Although time consuming, this provides you and I with the best mutual understanding of what I am selling with the most accurate grading representation. If the audio clip does not appear in the listing try to refresh the page. Contact me if you can't see the pictures or hear the music. If this record is sealed, the winning bidder must instruct me to open it before shipping so I can check for critical problems, otherwise it will be sent AS-IS with no return privileges.
BUY MORE AND SAVE ON SHIPPING
Most of the eBay listings I post include a BEST OFFER option. The idea here is to do a variation of a reverse (drop-down) auction. (Starting at the price I would like and allowing buyers to offer less) ~ About half of my transactions are sold at the price offered. Don't be surprised if I decline your low offer during the first few days of a listing. It seems fair to let the listing 'age' for at least one weekend so people have a chance to see what's available. Don't hesitate to make offers or offer more than one time. I'm pretty fast at responding. In some cases I'll have two or three offers pending, so.... If this is something you really want, BUY-IT-NOW and it's yours immediately.
HOW I PACKAGE RECORDS FOR SHIPMENTI remove the disc from the jacket and place both into a Plastic / Mylar sleeve
I sandwich this packed sleeve between two thick cardboard flats and tape all four sides tight
I place this ensemble into a water-resistant white bubble wrap envelope and seal it shut
Better corner protection, more impact resistance and superior to simple cardboard mailers
Check the sample photo.
