Description
Description of item Limited edition colored vinyl for the 40th anniversary!
It's been 40 years since the release of "BORN IN THE U.S.A.", which will forever leave its mark in music history (US release 6/4/84, Japan release 6/21/84). This monster album, which not only represents the 80s but also shines in rock history, is released on a limited edition colored vinyl for the 40th anniversary.
It debuted at 9th place on the US charts, and reached No. 1 on 7/3/84.
After four consecutive weeks at No. 1, it was temporarily taken over by Prince's "Purple Rain," which held second place for 24 weeks, and then on 1/19/85, it made a miraculous comeback to No. 1, a record that will go down in rock chart history.
After that, it was in the top 10 for 84 consecutive weeks until 1/25/86, a record that remains in the history of rock charts.
It was a huge hit worldwide, selling 17 million copies in the US alone and over 30 million copies worldwide, and won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Vocalist. ■Limited Edition ■Colored Vinyl *Red clear vinyl, new gatefold jacket, new booklet, LP-sized color lithograph *Only the Japanese version has a silver wraparound obi, English liner notes, commentary, lyrics, and translations
