Details: - Very Rare 1st Pressing on the Plain `Orange` CBS Label with `Fold Out Postcard` Gimmix Sleeve in almost Unplayed condition, a real find this, Springsteen never started to sell records in the UK until he released `Born To Run` in 1975 by which time CBS were issuing their releases on the sunburst CBS orange label in the UK, his first album on the plain `Orange` CBS label was only pressed up in a very small quantity and to find a Near Mint copy is almost impossibe!!! Vinyl: (NM/M-) Looks as new in normal light!! Only under bright halogen light scrutiny can I see the lightest of sleeve removal marks nothing feelable, Plays as new, it would be very hard to find a better copy of this rare vinyl - comes with white paper inner sleeve
Sleeve: (EX+) Rare `Postcard Gimmix` sleeve made by `Unipak Shorewood Packaging Co Ltd. England`, comes with Postcard `Flip back` still securely attached, some spine & edge wear, ringwear just starting to show, record is placed in sleeve from inside the flip this is still nice and sharp showing it hasn`t been removed hardly at all over the 40 years, still a nice copy (see photos)
Label: Clean labels - Just 2 visible spindle lines - almost unplayed
Post/Packing: UK - £5.50, Europe - £7.50, World £9.50
I use professionally made packers with card stiffeners & record removed from album cover
Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in Record Collector Magazine below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Near Mint, EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
