BALUBA SHAKE / IL SECONDO GIORNO ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by BRUNETTA e i SUOI BALUBAS. Original Italian promo pressing on RIFI label (REN NP 16160), from 1966. Killer Italian mod girl rarity. Probably, the finest example of the genre. Primitive garage and funky beat rhythms on the infectious BALUBA SHAKE anthem with jungle animal vocal FX and screaming caveman intro. Great for DJs. Comped on the Rob Bailey / New Untouchables Presents Le Beat Bespoke 2. The seldom heard IL SECONDO GIORNO is also superb so we have recorded both sides for our soundclip. This is the desirable promo issue with the elusive picture sleeve showing the Balubas and Brunetta dancing on a rooftop. Booming production sound. Really difficult to find in Italy now, especially in really nice condition like this copy :) Very rare 45!!!
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with some light scuffs and hairlines. Some old, cloudy pressing marks to both sides. Circular deletion hole through label but sleeve is intact. The picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with light wear (mostly just creasing from storage). Sharp edges. A few dirt marks and natural age discoloration. Very rare 45!!!
