ST. 10.022 - prima stampa originale riconoscibile dal cerchietto bianco con al suo interno il nome della casa discografica stampato direttamente sulla copertina di cartone rigido. Successivamente sostituito da uno sticker circolare rimovibile color argento - very first original issue recognizable by the small white circle and inside with the name of the record company printed directly on the hard cardboard cover. Later replaced by a circular silver removable sticker.

Condizioni : copertina con il lato frontale quasi perfetto: giusto poche minime grinze. Sul retro sono visibili alcune piccole macchie brune; grande stato, NEAR MINT / vinile con pochi segnetti superficiali causati probabilmente più dal lungo periodo di contatto con la busta interna che dalla puntina di un giradischi. All'ascolto solo pochissimi (3, 4, più o meno) lievi clicks; grande stato, EX+

Condition : cover with the front side almost perfect, just a few minimal creases. On the back are visible some small brown spots, NEAR MINT / vinyl has a few slight scuffs probably caused by the long period of contact with the inner sleeve rather than the stylus of a turntable. Listening only reveals very few (3, 4 or so) minor clicks, EX + 

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musiche composte e dirette da Bruno Nicolai. Un film poliziottesco ambientato in Sicilia dunque mafia, morti ammazzati a volontà e commisario coraggioso e indomito. L'ottimo Nicolai risolve l'illustrazione musicale del film con ben strutturate atmosfere alternanti temi drammatici, tesi, malinconici e da festa paesana. Quest'ultima caratteristica grazie all'utilizzo nel sottofondo musicale di alcuni brani dello scacciapensieri, tipico strumento della tradizione sonora Siciliana. Il primo brano dell'album, "L'Onorata Famiglia", ha carattere fortemente drammatico con un pianoforte dalle sonorità intense e percussioni che interrompono momentaneamente le sue note. "Whisky" (a2) sorprenderà molto per il suo scatenato ritmo imposto da un magnifico "drumming" e con un'emozionante chitarra con dirompenti effetti wah-wah. Il brano "Gli Ultimi Respiri" (b4) riflette validamente uno stato ossessivo per la ripetitività dei suoni delle tastiere e delle percussioni. Altro liquore, altra buona traccia, "Gin" (b3). Ideale per ballare grazie alla sua veloce dinamica con acidi e distorti suoni di chitarra ottimamente supportata da basso, tastiere e batteria. "Dissolvenza" (b2) è un tema che partendo da un andamento lento trasforma successivamente il suo ritmo in maniera energica per il forte vigore del basso, della batteria e di tutta l'orchestra.

Notes : music composed and conducted by Bruno Nicolai. A poliziottesco film set in Sicily and therefore mafia, many people killed and a brave police inspector. The skilled Nicolai resolves the film musical illustration by means of well-structured themes alternating dramatic, suspenseful, melancholy and folk themes. The latter characteristic due to the use in the music background of some traces of the jew's-harp, a tipycal musical instrument of Sicilian folk music. The first track of side one, "L' Onorata Famiglia", has a strongly dramatic feature underlined by intense sound from a piano and with percussion momentarily breaking its notes. "Whisky" (a2) will surprise a lot for its wild groove defined by a magnificent  drumming with exciting and shocking guitar wah-wah effects. The track "Gli Ultimi Respiri" (b4) effectively reflects an obsessive climate in the sound repetitiveness of keyboards and percussion. Another liqueur, another nice track, "Gin"(b3). Ideal for dancing because of its music liveliness characterized by fast acid and distorted guitar riffs very well supported by bass, keyboards and drums. "Dissolvenza" (b2) is a theme from the starting slow movement which later changes radically its rhythm for the strong force of bass, drums and entire orchestra.

Tipico prodotto Italiano degli anni settanta in cui si mescolano le tipiche caratteristiche dei poliziotteschi con i film sulla mafia nello stile di Damiano Damiani. La regia è di Tonino Ricci. Buono il cast che comprende Richard Conte, Raymond Pellegrin, Edmund Purdom, Maria Fiore, Giancarlo Prete e Simonetta Stefanelli.
