Original Italian pressing on GEMELLI label (GG 10024) from 1976. Stunning lounge session (privately released after a family feud between the Sermi label owners that resulted in the creation of the Gemelli label ;) The Gemelli issue also features 3 extra themes that were never included on the Sermi issue (CIRCLE / TROPICAL and PARAIBA). An extremely psychedelic soundtrack but also stylish and sexy with strong Brazilian influences too. Nicolai's score was the background mood music to the cult S & M / sex film directed by Jess Franco starring Maria Rohm / Jack Taylor and Marie Liljedahl. DE SADE '70 is the brilliant sitar funk theme with heavy reverb and beats that was also used by director Emilio Paolo Miraglia in his giallo thriller La Notte Che Evelyn Uscì Dalla Tomba aka The Night Evelyn Came Out Of The Grave. Sinister indo psychedelia with the bewitching Edda Dell'Orso on the acid influenced trip of DRUG PARTY and more disturbing underground sounds with experimental motifs on CRIMINAL SEX. For fans of samba lounge there's EUGINE and very elegant bossa on MARY. Lysergic jazz and breath-taking vocals throughout PSYCHO-MEETING and killer obsessive jazz with harpischord and haunting fuzz distortions / psych guitars on CIRCLE. The beautiful CHEEK TO CHEEK is tropical hammond lounge with Edda singing over mellow afro latin rhythms. The final theme, PARAIBA is joyous and carefree vocal scat by I Cantori Moderni, sounding closer to the Piero Umiliani La Schiava Io Ce L'ho Tu No film score on Vedette. There is also an inspired repress of the Marquis De Sade soundtrack by the Andy Votel / Doug Shipton run Finder Keepers label containing alternative versions too ;) Outstanding pop art sleeve artwork. Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with some hairlines across a section of the last 3 themes of Side A. Some light surface noises. A few soft ticks in places but mostly to the gentle "Skyscrapers" theme (as you can hear on the soundclip). Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of our soundclip. The laminated thick card sleeve with nude pop art imagery is closer to M- condition overall with minimal wear. Some age spotting / light dirt marks to back sleeve from storage. Small old sticker with telephone number just above bottom edge of back sleeve. Original track listing has been covered with an old printed sticker (most probably due to the extra 3 themes). All Gemelli copies seem to have this track listing revision. Original, silver Gemelli label distribution sticker, front top right corner. Sharp looking item. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Library OST Lp!!!
