Description

This is one of the most desired Buddy Holly albums.....featuring the original group Buddy founded, The Chirping Crickets. This is the original 1957 album on The Brunswick Label BL54038 and as you can see from the pictures, it is the rare textured version. Find one of these in mint condition and you'll probably pay almost $1000. Of course the chance of finding one even in excellent to NM condition is even difficult. This one is between g to vg condition. The cover is in vg condition. The vinyl does have some scuffs and some surface scratches but I play tested it tracking at 1.25 grams (Denon 47f) and can in good conscience state that it played very nicely (some very tolerable background noise in some songs). There were no skips and only on the last song Tell Me Now, did it get stuck in the groove (repeated the same passage). You will not be disappointed with the sound quality....and of course it has those great Buddy Holly songs especially "That'll Be The Day" and "Oh Boy". It does not come with the original vinyl protective cover (the paper ones that use to scuff the records LOL) but I will of course include a plastic cover. Remember although this is not in excellent condition, it is a rare album that merits your consideration.
