Polydor PD-5058, 1973

Rare Stevie Nicks / Linsey Buckingham debut album, the gatefold original, released before they joined Mac, before the Mac and its members were international megastars ... but never released to CD or any other format. Heck, Stevie was so new to the scene, they misspelled her name ("Stevi") on the rear cover.

The songs on this are straight-up incredible, btw. It's a long-lost Fleetwood Mac album ... that's what they say, and indeed .. that is what it sounds like.
Who knows why it disappeared after 1975? Legal issues? Ego? Jealousy? Label conflicts? Ex-lover scorn?
Who knows. With Fleetwood Mac involved, it was probably all the above...

And OMG just revel in that glorious cover photo.
The unnecessary nudity, the spaced-out stares, the dueling lions-manes hairdo's….

Cover: VG- to VG
not near mint perfect, but not defective, with no major issues
a little musty streak on the inside of the gatefold, close to the slat-opening
overall, a very decent 40-year old cover

Vinyl - visual grade: VG++
no marks or scratches, no scuffs or anything ... pretty much near mint
bright and shiny and recently VPI-cleaned ... for you, by me
initials on both inner labels, but no big deal ... right?

Vinyl - playback grade:  NEAR MINT
holy crap this album sounds TERRIFIC on vinyl!!
full-bodied bass, pristine acoustic guitar strumming, all the music distinctly channeled and up close and RIGHT INSIDE YOUR EARS
Stevie's unique voice sounds so warm and three-dimensional, and Lindsey's unique croon fills every corner of the room
oh ... and there is absolutely NO annoying background noise on either side (thank you, VPI!)

You want 1 record or 20 records, it will only cost you $4. 

But I use media mail, the budget method. Using the service, I’ve had items lost, stolen and destroyed.

GRADING

Usually, VG++ is as high as you’ll see me go.
Near Mint is rare, usually play-test verified, and MINT is reserved for sealed items.

My scale:  VG- / VG / VG+ / VG++ / NM / MINT

EDIT

eBay likes to auto-fill the "Item Specifics" box, behind my back. It is really annoying.

So it says "Near Mint" for the sleeve grading when it obviously isn't near mint. The grade of VG- to VG is more appropriate for the cover.

I'm sure we are all smarter than eBay, and realize that, but I just thought I'd mention it.
