BUD DECKELMAN 45 rpm on METEOR "DAYDREAMIN'"

"DAYDREAMIN'" and "LET'S NOT PRETEND"

1st press 45 rpm red lable Meteor record from memphis, orig. 1954

history: Born in Arkansas in April 1927, Bud became a Memphis based country singer around 1950. 'Daydreamin' became a regional hit in 1954. The song was written by Quinton Claunch and Bill Cantrell, who backed him on the record as 'The Daydreamers'. Sam Phillips had turned down both the singer and the song, which was also covered by Wanda jackson, Jimmy Newman and Carl McVoy. Bud Deckelmen was 69 years old when he succumed to lung cancer in February 1998. He was still living in Memphis at this time.

Condition: Radio Station used - Plays VG on both sides (with sun hiss and backround noise, like the early blues sun) !  no skips. no jumps. not warped. sounds good.
