ICONIC BUDDY HOLLY 1958 LP SELF TITLED CORAL 57210 ROCKABILLY early USA press*.
A very clean complete package that has an excellent company inner sleeve, really clean card sleeve & a very clean record conservatively graded
LP has a light un-feelable mark to 1st track (side 2) see photo, on the same track there is a small patch of marks..but neither have any effect on the excellent playback. The record sounds really crisp with no crackles or background noise... I have the impression that it has been only lightly played.
The remainder of side 2 & the entire side 1 (bar a small mark to end of track 2) have no notible play marks, other than expected odd fine surface lines that are only visible under strong light. Both sides have a really good sheen
* the plum label has a grove line and on side 2 following the record number it has a circled diamond? symbol ,
matrix numbers MG 6222T5 SIDE 1 MG 6223T1 SIDE 2
The excellent "paste on cover" sleeve has no creases and minimial loss of colour but has a mild wear to edges (Buddy Holly name has been almost erased) but no splits- other than the very small ones at very (opening) edge of sleeve. Note the purple star rubber stamp on clean rear cover..? There is no writing on either labels or sleeve.
The excellent inner sleeve has no splits or writing... bright & fresh.. highlights "Buddy Holly Story" CR 57279 released 1959.
