BUDDY HOLLY SINGS 45 RPM EP.
CORAL FEP 2070 from 1964 . The songs on this record are:-
SIDE 1.  Peggy Sue Got Married/Crying,Waiting,Hoping - SIDE 2. What To Do/That Makes It Tough.
CONDITION OF EP. This record I have owned from new. The case; inner sleeve and the record have always been kept in a protective cover and are therefore in very good condition. Both sides of the disc play well.
NOTES ON THE MUSIC. This is a chance to own the last Buddy Holly EP produced on the CORAL label in the UK. This label then became part of MCA and was thereafter used as a budget album label. The four songs on the EP were among some of the last that Buddy wrote before his death. In December 1958 he recorded these tracks with guitar accompaniment only on his professional recording machine. These recordings were known as the "apartment tapes". After his death CORAL were looking to see if any more material by Buddy could be released. They took these tapes and added overdubbed accompaniment and vocals to make them more acceptable to the record buying public?  These versions were released in single format. The versions that appear on this EP are later over dubs produced by Buddy's ex-manager and producer Norman Petty with more subtle treatment of the instrumental accompaniment.  The original untouched songs have since been issued in LP and CD format. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The condition that I quote for the record is based upon the close inspection and the physical playing of the disc.
