THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY U.S., 1ST PRESSING  EP ON CORAL.    GREAT SOUND QUALITY - NO SEAM SPLITS AND NO STAINS.  THE PHOTOS SHOULD GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF THE COVER CONDITION WHICH I WOULD GRADE AS A STRONG VG+.  THE ONLY FLAW IS A PEN MARK ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE COVER.  The front cover is NM and would display extremely well.  The only flaw on the back is the ink on the bottom right which, fortunately, does not occur in any written part of the back cover - it is in an open space.

THE VINYL RATES A SOLID VG+. THERE ARE NO SKIPS AND BACKGROUND NOISE IS MINIMAL.  THE VINYL FLAWS ARE MINOR - THE BACKGROUND NOISE IS MOSTLY NOTICEABLE BETWEEN SONGS AND NOT DISTRACTING WHEN THE MUSIC IS PLAYING.  ON THE MOST QUIET SONG, "RAINING IN MY HEART" THE BACKGROUND NOISE IS A BIT MORE EVIDENT WITH A COUPLE OF LIGHT TICKS BUT AGAIN, NOT TO A DEGREE THAT IT DISTRACTS FROM THE MUSIC.  THE ROCKERS ON THE EP, "HEARTBEAT" AND "EARLY IN THE MORNING" ARE THE SECOND SONGS ON EACH SIDE AND THEY SOUND GREAT - CLOSER TO NM THAN VG+.  CHECK OUT THE SAX SOLO AND THE ECHO ON THE VOCAL ON "EARLY IN THE MORNING" AND IT'S JUST MUCH MORE VIVID THAN WHAT YOU WOULD HEAR ON A CD.  THERE'S A "PRESENCE" THAT YOU HEAR ON VINYL THAT YOU DON'T GET ON CD - IT'S AS CLOSE TO A "LIVE" FEEL AS YOU CAN GET FROM A STUDIO RECORDING.  PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS EP IS OVER 50 YEARS OLD AND WHILE NOT PERFECT, IT PLAYS GREAT. 

THE LABELS ARE NM AS SEEN IN THE PHOTOS.  NOT MUCH MORE TO BE SAID - CHECK OUT THE PHOTOS AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELF.

The songs are Side 1:  "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" (a prophetic song released as the single following Buddy's untimely death) and "Heartbeat."  Side 2:  "It's Raining In My Heart" (one of the first songs released by a rock artist featuring strings) and "Early In The Morning," co-written by the great Bobby Darin.

The trail-off area of Side 1 has "S4148" in a raised stamp.  On Side 2 the stamp is "S41489." 

All in all, this is a great example of a rare EP that is difficult to find in this condition.  I will not ship this overseas so please don't ask.  Overseas bidders, please do not bid unless you have a U.S. "ship to" address.  Please ask any questions before you bid and thanks very much for looking.
