BUDDY HOLLY/CRICKETS-"THE CHIRPING CRICKETS"
SUPER COOL AND HARD TO FIND 1957 ORIGINAL CANADIAN BRUNSWICK LABEL WITH TEXTURED COVER IN G+ CONDITION!
A fantastic item that is a must have for any Buddy Holly LP collection! This is an original 1957 Canadian mono issue that was released on the Brunswick label as in the US. One of the cooler and certainly rarer Holly issues and tough to find in any condition for sure! This was the only Crickets album with Buddy Holly released in his short lifetime. This copy is in by no means super condition but overall, it plays remarkable nice and would still be a fine copy of this super rarity to add to your collection at decent price. Good luck!
Brunswick Records BL 54038 Original 1957 Canadian mono issue
GRADING:
COVER: Strong G+ to VG- textured cover with light storage wear on the seams and some minor taping at top and bottom. Corners are slightly bent and there is a tear near the top left of front cover. White back cover shows wear and has small pen marks next to certain selections. I believe the covers were made in the US and sent to Canada to be paired with Canadian pressings as it reads "Printed in USA" and the back cover makes no mention of Canada. Still quite clean and displayable with no other writing, marks or stickers.
RECORD: F to G with much handling wear, scratches and sleeve scuffs. It looks quite ugly but it surprisingly plays and sounds great with very light noise on the first few seconds of each side and then nice and quiet! There is a chip on the edge that only affects side 1 and the first track. If you track it just into the grooves, it then plays fine throughout. Comes with a generic inner sleeve.
LABELS: VG with light wear and spindle marks. No writing, markings or stickers-nice!
Overall, this is still a very worthwhile copy of this super hard to find Crickets release that needs a loving home in your LP collection!

It is all based on weight (if it is over 500 grams, which it always is for 2 LPs or double albums) and size. I can offer a slight discount for multiple purchases, but my hands are tied!
