TITLE/ARTIST: This extremely hard to find and highly collectible original PROMO LP, by the great Buddy Holly, is on blue colored, "Sample Copy - Not For Sale", Coral Label - from the early years of R'n'R - 1959. You just don't find these "Promotional" LPs from those early 1950's artists out there today - but here is your chance to own one! This LP was previously won on my Ebay site, but a successful sale was not finalized, so I am offering it to everyone out there once again - good luck - it's a real gem!! The LP is entitled, "The Buddy Holly Story" - and it was released posthumously following this artist's very unfortunate plane crash death earlier that same year. This is the original 1st pressed, promo release of the album from 1959 with the red strip and black lettering on the backside of the jacket. It includes twelve (12) great songs, including his hits, "Peggy Sue", "Everyday", "That'll Be The Day" and most all of his other early hit songs as well - and the piece even comes with the original Coral/Brunswick inner sleeve with ads of other LPs from the time, also in fantastic shape  (see the pictures above for all song titles). LABEL INFO: The blue, promotional label (CRL-57279) - in mono - is really clean and nice with nothing really negative to mention at all - I don't even see too many spindle lines around the center circle which, to me, indicates very little play (again, see photos above). VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is primarily super good - very shiny, clean and nice with nothing much in need of a mention at all either - perhaps just a few super light paper/surface lines in a couple of places. But overall, in my opinion, the vinyl looks really clean and nice, and I'm pretty fussy about condition as a collector!. JACKET: This jacket is also in very good overall condition - although two of the corner areas show some small scuff marks/creases - and I have tried to picture these minor flaws in the pictures above. In addition, there is a small, 1" paper tear on the top seam, but again, nothing too serious, believe me - especially given the extreme rarity and collectability of this piece!. But, please view all the pictures above and make your own decisions about everything. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion this original, Buddy Holly "promo" LP is very clean and nice - for the most part anyway - not to mention how extremely difficult it is to find, so please have at it.
