Description
Budgie's third album, the glorious Never Turn Your Back on a Friend. This classic LP with the awesome Roger Dean cover is the 1973 U.K. release on MCA Records, MCG 3513, with the MCA rainbow label. The record is in excellent NM condition with no scratches or marks. The gatefold album sleeve or jacket is in good condition but the adhesive for the record pouch has come unattached at the upper seam. Please see the image. There is no damage. This can be easily glued. The rest of the package is in excellent condition. I did listen to each side and checked for surface noise. I ran the audio through my computer and included images of the test. Each side checked out nicely. There was no significant surface noise, no pops or cracks. Please see the images of the quiet lead in for side 1 (image 10) and side 2 (image 11) after the needle was set down at the beginning of the side and the very quiet transition between Riding My Nightmare and Parents on side 2 (image 12). Will appeal to fans of Budgie, Burke Shelly, Tony Bourge, Ray Phillips, Roger Dean, power trios, rock music, British heavy metal, and collectors of vintage original records, vinyl records, album cover artwork and memorabilia.
You're the Biggest Thing Since Powdered Milk, In the Grip of a Tyre Fitter's Hand, Breadfan and Parents and are among Budgie's finest songs.
