** RARE ORIGINAL 1973 UK MCA VINYL 1st PRESSING, ON ORIGINAL BLACK/SILVER LABEL WITH ROGER DEAN GATEFOLD SLEEVE **
Disc in Excellent condition, with one or two very hard-to-see and minor surface marks, which in no way affect the sound. Original STEREO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, warps, scratches, scuffs or writing on labels. A few spindle marks. Excellent sound quality throughout, with very little surface noise. A very clear sound. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Gatefold sleeve is in Good condition, and features Roger Dean artwork. Some general wear, and marks. A small tear from a sticker removal at the top right hand of the sleeve. For some unknown reason, a previous owner has cut a fraction off of both opening edges of the gatefold sleeve with a pair of scissors (see photos, where I have shown this)... It is scarcely noticeable from the outside, but is more obvious on the inside of the gatefold cover. A bit of wear to spine, and a small seam split in spine. Original company inner sleeve.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M):
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
