Description
Budgie was one of the most iconic and underrated Prog/Metal bands of all time and that's why I'm listing several of their LP's for sale and most are in Excellent condition. This rare original LP is called Never Turn Your Back on a Friend and is the third studio album by Welsh heavy metal band Budgie, released in 1973. This album shows the band continuing the successful heavy metal formula of their previous album Squawk, adding a hint of speed metal in the single "Breadfan", one of the band's best known songs and was covered in the late 80's by Metallica. "You know I'll always love you" is the by now customary soft acoustic song for the album. It serves as a fine interlude piece for an otherwise hard rocking LP side. "You're the biggest thing since powdered milk", the closing track on side one, kicks off with a drum solo with phasing which thankfully gives way to a Black Sabbath style heavy guitar riff. Other great songs on here are "You Know I'll Always Love You" , "In the Grip of a Tyrefitter's Hand" and "Riding My Nightmare" !
The Cover is in Very Good Plus condition(see pictures), The vinyl is in Very good Plus condition on one side and Very Good condition on the other side(several tiny light scratches), but still sounds Great!
