Yes indeed, here is a true collectible album that fans of "Buffalo Springfield" seek out. This release of the self-titled "Buffalo Springfield" is the original pressing that included the song "Baby, Don't Scold Me" which was soon thereafter replaced with the song "For What Its' Worth". What's the difference you might ask, well the original release is worth about ten times as much. This original books at $200 - $250 and it is few and far in-between.

Synopsis: The band themselves were displeased with this record, feeling that the production did not capture their on-stage energy and excitement. Yet to most ears, this debut sounds pretty great, featuring some of their most melodic and accomplished songwriting and harmonies, delivered with a hard-rocking punch. There are several stunning treasures. Stephen Stills' "Go and Say Goodbye" was a pioneering country-rock fusion; his "Sit Down I Think I Love You" was the band at their poppiest and most early Beatlesque; and his "Everybody's Wrong" and "Pay the Price" were tough rockers. Although Neil Young has only two lead vocals on the record (Richie Furay sang three other Young compositions), he's already a songwriter of great talent and enigmatic lyricism, particularly on "Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing," "Out of My Mind," and "Flying on the Ground Is Wrong".   *

SHIPPING

Please take note that in the Seller's shipping input section in eBay's has a ceiling for shipping records at $4.00. Any amount over that the eBay software will reject and not allow the seller to continue. What that system does not take into account are situations where a seller may be selling a lot of ten records OR is selling a box set that contains six records, which results in a shipping scenario where costs will surely be more than $4.00. In those cases, most sellers enter the $4.00 in the eBay input, but reflect the real actual accurate costs in the body of the text, for me in this is contained in the "SHIPPING" section.

PAYMENT

Winning bid, please pay by the THIRD day following the auction close, unless you notify me that you will be bidding on additional auctions that are already ongoing.  PAYPAL is the preferred payment vehicle as it allows payment and shipping to be accomplished in a very efficient manner. I will send you (the buyer) an invoice the day of the auction or the next day if the auction is at night. If I do not hear from you otherwise, the default shipping method will be "Media Mail". If you want otherwise then please let me know quickly so that invoices do not need to be voided and regenerated.

GRADING GUIDLINES

I use a standard grading system that "Goldmine" has published for years. Unless otherwise stated, our products are VISUALLY graded with the aid of a bright 150W light bulb. I grade VERY conservatively, in order to ensure that buyers are happy. All flaws worth noting to potential buyers (scratches, MINOR warps, cut out holes, saw marks, split cover seams, writing, etc.) will be listed in the item descriptions in an attempt to avoid any, and all, surprises.

· M (Mint): unopened record or compact disc.

· NM (Near Mint); Vinyl that appears to have never been played. There are simply NO visible blemishes on the vinyl/disc or jacket/case

· VG++: Occasionally I will use this one if the item is NM, but I don’t feel comfortable grading it that way as there might be a small blemish on it.

· VG+ (or EX); Except for a few minor things, this would be Near Mint. This will show slight light signs of wear including light signs of scuff or scratches that DO NOT affects the listening experience. A VG+ cover might have some very minor seam wear or a split (less than ONE inch long)

· VG: More marks/scratches only minor, nothing deep, no loud clicks or pops. This type of material will not be sold by this seller. Groove wear and light scratches are evident. Surface noise is heard but it is not overwhelming. Minor writing, tape or stickers are visible.
