RARE!!
CLICK IMAGES TO ENLARGE Offered here is a rare South African record by the Bulawayo Sweet Rhythm Band c.1954, performing SKOKIAAN and KAREKWANGU. This is a rare record. It was originally made for South African listeners but an American music producer heard it and played it in the U.S. It quickly became very popular and the song Skokiaan was recorded by several American artists, including Louis Armstrong and The Four Lads. The UK label LONDON picked up this song from GALLOTONE and paired it with IN THE MOOD. Wasn't long before this record was relegated to obscurity. These days, all you see are the UK records being offered.
Here is a great rarity, especially in this condition.
