Description
You are bidding on an LP on the Young People's Records label (15016), featuring the contents of three of their children's two-part 78 releases. I have never seen another LP on this label, only 78's and a few 45's.
The featured piece on this album is "By Rocket to the Moon", which is performed by Gene Lowell Chorus and narrated by Ralph Comargo, with music composed by Raymond Scott, with the backing music performed by the famous Raymond Scott Quintet. This is a wonderful piece.
The other selections on side one are "Billy Rings the Bell" (no performer listed) and "The Lonesome House", told by Frank Maxwell. Side two features two lengthy classical pieces, "Polovstian Dances" by Borodin and "Espana Rhapsodie" by Chabrier. No orchestra is credited.
This album is in very good condition, clean and shiny with very few marks of any kind, and it plays extremely well. The cover is worn, with splits along parts of the bottom edge and the left seam, and general shelf wear.
