Predictive text might be the most infuriating thing when it auto corrects you to write something you didn't mean to say. But in one of David Byrne's conversations - "who is this guy?" was changed to "who is the sky?" and it provided the album title. A happy accident. This solo album follows on from Byrne's hugely successful American Utopia album, which was released in 2018 and sent him on a world tour in its support. Byrne mania gripped festivals from Hong Kong and Australasia, to South America, Europe and beyond. The anticipation for follow-up material, therefore, has been building and with that seven year wait now finally over what's delivered is some of his most life-affirming music to-date. The single 'Everybody Laughs' is an irreverent attack on modernity delivered through a happy-go-lucky melody that can't help but draw smiles. This album is distinct from any other Byrne solo album because for the first time in his solo career he worked with the chamber ensemble Ghost Train Ensemble and they're beautifully suited for each other.
