Description
Really nice copy!!! Not a repress! This is the original 1971 release of the highly sought after posthumous debut album from Curtis Mayfield-produced artist Baby Huey on Curtom Records (cat# CRS 8007), highly regarded by classic funk/soul fans and heavily sampled by numerous hip-hop acts (including A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, Eric B & Rakim, will.i.am, Big Daddy Kane, and many more). A true cult classic!
LP has been ultrasonically cleaned and playtested multiple time!
Vinyl is very glossy and plays through nicely with little noise audible on our system. Side A has a light surface scratch going across the whole side of the record (see photos) as well as a few other small marks, but it was inaudible to us on most rotations thanks to the very hot mastering... play-graded as VG+,but really more like a Mint Minus sound wise. Only the occasional pop and click audible on our system. Side B is practically flawless, NM/M-. The cover has moderate to heavy wear around the edges and spine with visible cardboard in many places, as well as some light water damage in the lower right corner and small initials in pen in the upper right corner. The gatefold displays nicely for its age with very light ringwear and extremely light foxing. VG-/G+ cover. Original Buddah label inner sleeve has heavy damage. LP will be shipped in a brand new replacement poly-lined inner along with the original inner.
