Description

"Bach: Mass in B Minor BWV 232 [Missa Symbolum Nicenum]" (Archive Production, APM 14 677/9/ARC 3177/9, German pressing, mono, ca. 1961)

Three monophonic LPs, boxed, with booklet and technical sheet. Karl Richter conducts the Munich Bach Orchestra and Munich Bach Choir. Soloists: Maria Stader, Hertha Topper, Ernst Haefliger, Kieth Engen, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau et al. The records are a very solid Ex: visual inspection found a hairline scratch (no sound) to S1 but nothing else; sampling found the reproduction to be very, very clean. The labels are bright and clean (pictured below). The booklet (interestingly, with tipped-in frontispieces of Bach and Richter) and sheet show light use, nothing more. The oatmeal colored linen covered box is quite solid and clean with a touch of darkening to the edges and a small penned code ("B600") to the foot of the back, so Ex or better for these last.
