Description
This 1985 German import 2LP stereo box set from Archiv Produktion (R 225064) features J. S. Bach's Mass in B Minor, BWV 232. It is performed by the Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists, directed by John Eliot Gardiner. Album notes within the booklet are only in English, written by Christoph Wolff, but lyrics are then provided in German, English, French, and Italian. The box is in two pieces by design, unlike other boxes, which may be hinged.
The box has a small cutout in the lower left corner that cut through all layers (Photo 1). It also has a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back (Photo 2).
This is one of many titles from an extensive collection of classical LPs and CDs that we will be listing here. All have been carefully stored for many years, played only on premium equipment, and show little to no wear.
