This is a the earliest UK Capitol issue of this set pressed by EMI England.
Personally, I think this is one of, if not the best recording and performance of this work.
It renders one of the most realistic Violin sounds in a proper space. It does not have some weird cavernous sound, like the recording took place in an empty hockey area.
Needless to say after 63 year there is a little bit of occasional light surface noise and a few assorted clicks and pops, but no loud bangs. I did not notice any "groove presence". There are a few short repeating clicks on side 4, and a slight dusting on side 5 which causes 5 repeating clicks at the beginning of the last cut.
The record has never been "wet cleaned", only brushed with a Decca brush, so I would think that the set would benefit from a proper good wet cleaning.
The box is showing some overall wear, and the original insert is included. Check out the photo's.

Along with these are many of the Audiophile pressings like Sheffield Lab, Reference Recordings and Wilson Audio. You get the idea; it contains some of the best music on the best pressings available.

I pack in proper record boxes and reinforce them with extra layers and wrap tightly in bubble wrap. I do not charge for handling or packing. You pay only the Canada Post shipping charge.
