Description

Bach: Sonata in D Minor for Solo Violin- Adolf Busch, violin.
Victor Set M-133 (3-12" Victrola scroll "z" shellac discs in
1934 Victor Musical Masterpiece lyre album. Disc number
7554/56. Adolf Busch's great performances reaches its
climax in the concluding chaconne- one of Bach's greatest
masterpieces. Set was issued in 1932 in the depth of the
great Depression and was soon withdrawn. This is a very
rare edition of a very rare set. Silent surfaces. Mint
condition.


 

From the private collection of R. Peter Munves, who was in the record business as well as an avid collector for over 50 years and has decided to part with his beloved collection. All albums are from the late 20’s to early 40’s, and many are original, 1st editions containing pristine pressings from the golden age of 78’s. This collection consists of a nearly complete run of RCA Victor Musical Masterpiece Albums and Columbia Masterworks Album Sets. Our listings are drawn from this extensive collection.
