Description

Philips AL3472, AL3473 & AL 3474, mono, plum and silver labels.  The sleeves are all in excellent to near mint condition with just some discolouration to the paper on the rear of one.  The records are all in excellent to near mint condition with a lovely surface shine.  There is a very light surface mark on side one of record one and another on side two of record three.  The marks are only visible in strong light and do not sound at all.  The records have been fully play tested on a good system (Garrard 401, SME arm with moving coil cartridge via Nad amp into Kef 104 Reference speakers) and the sound quality is superb.  No clicks, ticks, pops, sound distortion or anything else at all.  All records nice a flat.   A lovely set of the most sort after sonatas played by a fine violinist.

CONDITION:  I examine all records using a strong light and will play any visible mark to check if it sounds.

Mint: Only used for records that are still sealed

Near mint: Records that are not sealed but I cannot find any marks on at all. Many will be unplayed.

Excellent to near mint: For records that have just one or two very feint surface marks or a light scuffmark none of which must sound

Excellent:  Records that have some light surface marks but none of the marks sound.

The only difference between ‘mint’, ’near mint and ’excellent’ is visual.

Any record that has a sounding mark if it is offered for sale at all will have a full explanation of how many ticks or clicks there are, where they are and how loud they sound. Generally this quality record will only be offered for sale if it is rare.

POSTAGE FOR THE UK:  Second class up to 750 gms unless you specify otherwise. All postage is at actual cost( plus packing as stated above). Recorded delivery if required at £0.66 extra. For over 1kg I use Standard Parcel unless you request otherwise. Additional insurance available at cost.

 

POSTAGE OUTSIDE THE UK:  I will quote Surface and Airmail at actual cost (plus packing as stated above) unless you specify which you want when first making contact. Recorded delivery if required is £3.30. Additional insurance for above £30 available at cost.
