Up for bids this is MHS Stereo 4032/33/34 a three-record set of performances of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin, BWV 1001-1006, are performed by violinist Oscar Shumsky.  The records are in near mint minus condition. I played one side and it actually sounded pretty good. Sleeves, 4-page booklet and letter from the MHS are included; the box is VG condition.

RETURN POLICY

If you disagree with the grading of any record you may return any and all record(s) for a full refund including postage, but you may also opt to negotiate for a partial refund.

GRADING OF RECORDS

(NM) Near Mint: No signs of wear on record. Dust borne upon the ambient air will be the first and only suspect on the list of causes of any extraneous noises.

( NM-) Near Mint Minus: Nearly mint but with some minor scuffs; a few extraneous noises not caused by dust may be discovered, especially if one focuses with all one’s concentration on the possibility of an extraneous noise. Expert cleaning will probably remove such noises.

(VG+) Very Good Plus: Record will show signs that it was played but well taken care of. Scuffs or light scratches are present and may manifest themselves as up to about ½ dozen very light surface percussions here and there. Label may have minor writing or tiny sticker attached, but will not show much if any spindle wear.

(VG) Very Good: Visible scratches are more pronounced and surface noise will be noticeable upon playing. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches that will oftentimes affect the sound. Spindle wear will frequently be noticeable.

(G) Good: Record will play through without skipping, but will have more than a modicum of surface noise. For practical reasons MY threshold of listening may be put to task in order to judge whether the imaginary line in question is crossed . . . and I may not have perfect pitch, but I do throw a lot of records out. Unless it is very old, the record will have visible scratches. Labels may be marred, torn, and/or have stickers attached. Use records in this category as fillers for your collection until a better copy comes along.

(P) Poor: if records are this bad, I usually keep them for myself because I love them too much or I throw them away, but I will provide specific details about the condition(s) of any listed record(s) in response to e-mailed inquiries about them.

(M) "Mint": Absolutely perfect in every way but requires unsealing to verify; these cannot have been played by anyone including yours truly.
