BADFINGER       STRAIGHT UP       Apple (UK)  Sapcor 19
Up for auction is a FIRST PRESSING of the 1972 Badfinger 2nd lp,  "Straight Up". One of the finest British pop lps released in the past 50 years, I would think. This copy is a gem. Plays flawlessly. BOTH SIDES HAVE 1 G STAMPERS, making this copy one of the very first off of the production line. An audiophile's dream. Only the cover prevents this from being an archive condition lp.
DEAD WAX INFO:  Side 1 has SAPCOR 19A - 1U and 1 G at 3 and 9 o'clock stamped into the dead wax, and PORKY etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has SAPCOR 19B - 1U and 1 G at 3 and 9 o'clock stamped in the dead wax, and PECKO etched into the dead wax. One of the very first pressings to come off the line (within the first couple hundred or so).     VINYL VISUAL: NM with no issues/marks worth mention. Maybe clean for the best listen. Labels are pristine and show one or two plays max.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: NM and a good a listen as you will find of this earliest of pressings. Probably unbeatable.
COVER VISUAL: VG+ at best with strong seams and spine, almost NO ring wear. Downgraded for the damaged top right corner (see pictures). Bottom front right corner worn a wee bit as well.
VINYL IS STORED IN ORIGINAL PRINTED PAPER LINER WHICH I HAVE LINED WITH AN AUDIOPHILE STYLE RICE PLASTIC INNER.
PLEASE READ FOR DETAILS ON SELLER AND SHIPPING
HELLO ALL. My name is Jamie, and I have been collecting records steadily for over 45 years.  After a bit of a respite from selling on Ebay, I am back and will be selling a ton of stuff over the next few years. My tastes run all over the map, so there will be something for everyone. All opened items will be visually AND aurally graded. All Dead Wax info will be listed. Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER).             Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.
If you have issue with an item, PLEASE work with me to achieve an outcome that will be to your satisfaction. I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory.       SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST. Since a lot of the stuff that I will be selling is of higher end quality, rarely will things be offered overseas. Sorry folks. Again, I can consider requests on an item-by-item basis. THANKS FOR READING, everyone.       Occasionally I will be selling rare and collectible CDs. Shipping obviously will be much less, around $5 CANADIAN within North America.
