Description
Banda do Casaco - Hoje Há Conquilhas Amanhã Não Sabemos
LP IMAVOX 30033 Portugal 1977
Another gem from Banda do Casaco and another masterpiece.
Third LP from this Portuguese "Progressive" (!) Folk band mentioned by Hans Pokora.
Highly rated in the progarchives site, quite fair...
The original masters of this record were lost, nobody knows what happens...
The record label (IMAVOX) who only published this Banda do Casaco title was too small and here could be an explanation for the carelessness.
A CD edition (2006) was made from vinyl copy.
This misfortune is history, more important is music.
Imaginative with one foot in the music era (70's) and another in the portuguese tradicional music past.
The way they manage to achieve a sophisticated sound is outstanding within portuguese and international music scene.
It's a scarce item (limited copies for sure due to the dimension of the record label).

Labels: excellent.
