Description
From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this piece of classic rock music history. The Bangs. Getting Out Of Hand 45. US. 1981. Down Kiddie Records. DK 001. LA PAISLEY UNDERGROUND. In 1980, Susanna Hoffs and sisters Debbi and Annette Peterson formed a band called The Colours in 1981, renamed soon afterwards The Bangs. They recorded Getting Out Of Hand / Call On Me on their own label, Downkiddie Records. Earning a formidable reputation on the LA Paisley Underground scene, they were set to release an EP when a disagreement about performing names with another band resulted in their renaming as The Bangles. As they say in the classics, the rest is history. Record is in Very Good Plus to Near Mint. Picture sleeve in Very Good Plus. NOTE: International shipping to Europe and UK will be Express Air Mail; US and Asia will be fine as Standard Air Mail. Please contact me for exact shipping rate.
