Barrett Strong – Money (That’s What I Want), 1960 7” London HLU 9088.
This is a decent example of Money (That’s What I Want) / Oh I Apologise by Barrett Strong. It was released on the London label in 1960 – HLU 9088 – and is in VG condition. The surface is a bit dull and it has obviously been played a lot. But equally, it has been well looked-after as there is nothing nasty to note and there is nothing worse to report than some background hiss in places. No ‘pops’ or ‘clicks’ anywhere. The record will be supplied in a plain black cover. Check out my other items!Grading:
Mint ( M ) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.
Excellent ( Ex ) The record shows signs of having been played but no visible marks that affect sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good ( VG ) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good ( G ) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
