Description
This double LP from 1988 is like a Who's Who of contemporary/freeish British jazz of the eighties. The first LP is a concert recording of Barry Guy's Polyhymnia, featuring solos from Barry Guy, Paul Rutherford, Alan Tomlinson, Pete McPhail, Trevor Watts ... and more [ the full list is in one of the photos]. And then the second LP is a live recording of an even more stellar line-up, including Henry Lowther, Marc Charig, Travor Watts, Evan Parker, Paul Dunmall, Dave Holland, Tony Oxley ... all working together under the direction of Braxton to give his angular compositions a stirring level of passion.
The vinyl and the cover are both in wonderful condition, definitely within discogs definition of Near Mint, and indistinguishable from how they looked the day they were bought.
