Description

This is the 2001 Tone Poet AAA reissue of Bass on Top by Paul Chambers.  Paul Chambers was ubiquitous with several legendary jazz recordings of the era, he's the first one you hear to play a note on Kind of Blue by Miles Davis.  This time, however, he gets to act as band leader and puts together a jazz album very unique with the upright bass serving as the feature.  Filled with both plucked and Arco technique, this one has flown under the radar for a long time - very deserving of the tone poet treatment.
Thank you for having a look!
