Description

You are bidding on a MINT condition Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi's Dead 12" Glow in the dark Picture Disc. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains, labels or writing, tears or splits. Mint means perfect.
The song was the band's first single, released in August 1979, and is often considered to be the first gothic rock record released. The song is over nine minutes in length and was recorded "live in the studio" in a single take. What could you say about this landmark single that hasn't been said yet? Absolutely perfect...dark in an unintentional way, theatric punk injected with dub and glam and gloomy atmospherics. This was the kickstart of goth and what a kickstart, incredible and hipnotic (yeah I can't say but really good things about this single!), Daniel Ash's guitar is just unique and incredible, knows how to manipulate feedback and create atmospheres without needing complicated movements, minimalism at it's best. Peter Murphy's punky croon is heartfelt, this man REALLY feels it!

This rare disc features a glow in the dark Bauhaus logo and has never been removed from its sleeve. A must have in any vinyl enthusiast's collection!!!
