Description
The original 1972 release of the Beach Boys' double album: "Carl and the Passions - "So Tough" and the rare Artisan mono reissue of "Pet Sounds".
Brother Records, distributed by Warner Brothers, 2MS 2083
The word "Stereo" is blacked out on the Pet Sounds labels, which also include "This recording is pressed in monophonic sound, the way Brian cut it". This is the generally preferred Artisan pressing with their spaceship imprint.
Pet Sounds: "2MS - 2083 11452-1A" (with Artisan imprint) "2MS - 2083 11453-1A"
Carl & the Passions: "2MS - 2083 31454 Re 1 A - 1B" (also Artisan) "2MS - 2083 31455-B Re 1 1C"
Original owner. I rate the album "Good" because the vinyl shows obvious wear and needs a good cleaning. When I played the records for the first time in years I heard a scratch at the end of "All This Is That" that continues into the beginning of "Cuddle Up" (Carl & the Passions), and a skip in the middle of "That's Not Me"(Pet Sounds), as well as some surface noise here and there.
The album cover has some ring wear and some small stains on the back. It's also worn through on the inner fold (see photographs). The bottoms of the inner paper sleeves have also worn through.
