The Beach Boys: Pet Sounds, Capitol Mono T 2458
- Disc is VG+ with a few light scuffs caused by the paper sleeve, and a light sctatch on side 2, none of which are audible
- Jacket is near mint, with light yellowing along the white edges

The Beach Boys had already grown more than any surf/car band had by 1966, in both popularity and sophistication. Then they released Pet Sounds, and moved beyond great pop to a new level. Sure, this album has some big hits---Wouldn't It Be Nice, Sloop John B, and God Only Knows---but these weren't simple dance records. Brian Wilson wrote of the end of adolescence and the onset of adulthood, with the wistful Caroline, No, the perfect closing song to end the group's first era. This is the original issue mono album, not a duophonic rechanneled version. The vinyl and jacket are clean and well taken care of, and there are no spindle marks on the labels. This is a nice copy of this classic and influential LP.
The disc will be packed in a new plastic inner sleeve outside the jacket, and shipped in a sturdy LP mailer.
