Description
Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys (1966 Capitol) This is an original mono pressing of Brian Wilson's all time masterpiece and generally regarded as one of the greatest records ever made. It lives up to all the hyperbole and accolades and remains timeless nearly 60 years after it's release. The vinyl grades a visual VG with only minor scratches and imperfections but the luster and shine is still retained with no major problems during playback. I played this record all the way through on a Thorens TD126 turntable with a Denon 110 cartridge before listing it to ensure the accuracy of my grading and with the exception of one or two pops it was easily a VG+ or better listen with barely audible noise discernible only during the most quiet passages and in between tracks. A previous owner printed his/her name in the colorband on the Capitol label The jacket is VG+ with very light ring wear at the top and bottom and almost indiscernible light seam wear near the album and artist name on the side. There is also a cutout punch hole which i have highlighted in the photos. It's common on this album because it didn't sell well upon release and was often returned to Capitol in exchange for copies of a greatest hits compilation by the band which was released almost simultaneously. The back cover has some very light discoloring as seen in the photos. I grade very conservatively and have been collecting and selling records for over 40 years so you can be assured your purchase will be accurately graded and packaged properly to ensure safe arrival of the item.
