Description

I've been collecting Beach Boys memorabilia for over 35 years and have decided to open up my archives and let other collectors enjoy some of my treasures. I'm also the author of the novel, The Noble Surfer, published in 2002.

For auction here is a rare one to say the least. First, is a stone cold mint sealed original pressing of Little Duece Coupe. It is stereo ST 1998 released in October 1963. This LP looks like it was pressed yesterday; one of the cleanest I've ever seen. There's a red sticker on the shrink wrap, "contains the smash-hit single BE TRUE TO YOUR SCHOOL". There is also a small orange price sticker. Both of these stickers are on the shrink wrap, not the actual cover.

Now comes the fun part. Included with the LP is an original copy of Hot Rod Magazine from July 1961. On the cover, you guessed it, the photo that was used for the cover of the LP. I guess the execs at Capitol had subscriptions to Hot Rod. Inside the issue an article about the car. It's a 1932 Ford Coupe owned at that time by a guy named Clarence Catallo from Dearborn, Michigan. The magazine is in very good condition with just a few splits (1") along the spine. Nothing major. The cover is very clean.

You will never see an auction like this again.
