Description
The Hawthorne Hot Shots Live from The Hawthorne Corral (not really). Jackalope Records J103 BBCS III No. 384 of 500. Very limited fan club related reissue of very rare Beach Boys stuff. Two 7 inch records and insert VG+. Cover VG (small split at top right). Extremely rare. Not to be confused with the bootleg versions of this that exist. The real one is hand numbered and the sleeve is green like this one. The bootleg version apparently is not hand numbered and the sleeve is white.
Tracks are as follows:
JO-103A A1. Til I Die - Alternate studio version with instrumental intro. (written by Brian Wilson) A2. San Miguel - Studio, not live. (written by Dennis Wilson & Greg Jacobs) JO-103B B1. Heroes and Villains - Live 1973. (written by Brian Wilson & Van Dyke Parks) B2. I Just Got My Pay - Then unreleased studio recording. (written by Brian Wilson & Mike Love) B3. Karen - Short lived 60's sit-com on which the Beach Boys performed the theme song. (written by Jack Marshall) JO-103C C1. Good Vibrations - Then unreleased alternate studio mix, no lead vocals. (written by Brian Wilson & Mike Love) C2. Lady - A side of 1970 Dennis Wilson single. (written by Dennis Wilson) JO-103D D1. Melody - from PBS program. (written by Al Jardine & Johnny Rivers) D2. Sound of Free - B side of 1970 Dennis Wilson single. (written by Dennis Wilson & Mike Love)
