Beastie Boys LP Vinyl - Paul's Boutique.
First UK Pressing - Beastie Boy Records / Capitol Records - EST 2102, 79 1743 1.
Outer sleeve - (VG) - Outer sleeve is crisp at the front and the back but has light creasing along the sides, harsh rubbing to the spine at the top and bottom caused by a cat's paws.
Inner Sleeve - (EX) - Original inner sleeve and is really nice and clean.
Vinyl - (G - G+ - VG (-)) - Visually graded. When I mention 'scratches' or 'hairlines' or 'scuffs' these are light and cannot be felt deeply by the finger unless otherwise stated.
Vinyl looks like it has been well, well played. All sides have signs of many, many light looking surface scratches and some scuffs in places. I still feel that the vinyl should still play relatively well with the right stylus / set of decks with the heaviest weight with the likelihood of some light distortion / surface noise in places. With the right set up I humbly feel that the vinyl could play to a VG standard.
The item could also be bought solely for the cover and the inners.
Record Collectors Grading system
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-fillerTerms of Business: If you are unhappy with your item please let me know and we will resolve it.
