Description
Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill Def Jam Recordings Label 450062 1 UK 1986 Original Pressing Gatefold Sleeve Matrix Side 1 - 450062 1 (Stamped) 460021 1 (Etched and Crossed Out) A2 Matrix Side 1 - DEF 450062 1 (Etched) B1 C
Fantastic example of an original pressing of this hip hop classic. Very difficult to find any hip hop records in good condition as they are normally tortured to death by DJ's, particularly classic albums such as this. You will struggle to find a better one and a great investment and collectors piece.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - NM Almost perfect condition just the faintest of marks under a bright light. Lovely glossy finish and those stunning Def Jam labels are in great condition with hardly any spindle wear. Sits tightly suggesting it has hardly been played.
Record Audio - NM No surface noise that I could detect with just the odd spec of dust which a machine clean would make perfect. Great rich sound as you would expect from on original pressing.
Record Sleeve - VG+ Close to being Near Mint apart from under bright light there are some indentations where somebody has underlined something. There are no pen marks just a faint indentation which is only visible under bright light. Shelf wear is excellent just a little expected wear on the bottom rear corner, fantastic for 30 years old. Hype sticker still in place and stunning artwork is in great condition and lustre as is the photo inside the gatefold. Original Def Jam inner sleeves are in good condition and a rare find.
All questions answered and offers considered. Thanks for looking and please follow me and check out my other listings as they appear. I work full time and have 3 children so please forgive any delay in communication but should be within 24 hours.
