My Kool Kollectibles is proud to present this promotional only 45rpm from Ed Solomon & Diamond Records entitled The Beatle Flying Saucer/Whistling Drifter (Diamond D-160) originally released in the Spring of 1964, one of hundreds of novelty/tribute records released during 1964 to cash in on the Beatles enormous popularity. This one however is especially sought after because it contains actual snippets from 3 Beatle songs including I Saw Her Standing There, I Want To Hold Your Hand and She Loves You. The "radio announcer" sounds suspiciously like Ed Sullivan. Contains many other song snippets from the day. Very corny but yet perfectly captures the innocence of the time. Barely even charted, this one was probably pulled quickly as Capitol Records would not allow the use of actual Beatle recordings. The record is a promotional copy and is in VG++ condition....superb! Very clean...only light signs of play. Labels are beautiful...no writing or wear! Comes housed in a RARE Diamond Records stock sleeve!
